Production Commenced — What It Means
KSH International has officially commissioned its new Upcast Facility, designated as Unit No. 5, located at Gat No. 11/8 and 11/9 in Village Biradwadi, Chakan.
This facility is dedicated to the production of copper rods specifically for captive consumption and internal warehousing. The unit adds a substantial 5,000 MT per annum capacity to the company's manufacturing footprint in Pune. By moving production in-house, the company secures its raw material supply for subsequent industrial processing, ensuring consistent availability of high-grade copper components for its primary product lines.
Path to This Milestone
This development follows the strategic roadmap outlined in the company’s Prospectus dated December 18, 2025, which highlighted backward integration as a key priority. The project was completed within the projected timeline of Q2 FY 2026-27. To realize this expansion, KSH International invested 67.13 million rupees, utilizing a mix of internal accruals and debt financing.
This move transforms the company's procurement model from external sourcing to self-reliance, fulfilling the commitments made during its recent capital market disclosures regarding manufacturing capability enhancement.
Revenue Impact
The transition to in-house manufacturing is designed to strengthen the company’s supply chain and drive cost efficiency. By eliminating third-party margins on copper rod procurement, the company expects to optimize its operating profit margins, which stood at 5.53 percent in the most recent quarter. Furthermore, the 5,000 MT annual capacity provides a buffer against external market price volatility and supply disruptions.
This vertical integration aligns with sustainability efforts by streamlining logistics and reducing the carbon footprint associated with transporting raw materials from external vendors to Pune-based units.
