Tata Communications has partnered with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles to integrate in-built 5G cellular connectivity into the recently launched Sierra.ev. The collaboration involves embedding the Tata Communications MOVE Connected Vehicle Platform into the car’s proprietary software-defined vehicle architecture, known as N.IO. This integration is designed to facilitate digital-first in-vehicle experiences, providing customers with a seamless onboarding journey and secured connectivity.
The technology enables high-speed content streaming, faster over-the-air software updates, and advanced safety features, including real-time remote diagnostics and emergency calling services, ensuring the vehicle remains technologically current throughout its lifecycle.
